Prime Minister Narendra Modi to inaugurate several projects

👉 Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation for National Highway projects in Rajasthan on August 29.
👉 The total expenditure on the projects is estimated to be more than Rs. 15 thousand crores.
👉 Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate 11 highway projects to the nation.
👉 The projects that will be inaugurated include construction of six-lane cable bridge on Chambal river in Kota, construction of national highway Udaipur-Gomti square section and Rajsamand-Bhilwara section four-lane.

Switzerland’s President visits India

👉 Switzerland’s President Doris Leuthard will come to India on a three-day visit on August 30.

President will honor the sports persons today

👉 Today is National Sports Day.
👉 Sports Day is celebrated on 29th August every year on the birth anniversary of the legendary hockey player Dhyanchand.
👉 President Ramnath Kovind will award the country’s highest sports award Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna to Rio Paralympic gold medalist Javelin throw athlete Devendra Jhangaria and former Indian hockey captain Sardar Singh.
👉 The President will also award the prestigious Arjuna Award to 17 players.

👉 This portal was started on 28th August 2017 by Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu at a program organized at Indira Gandhi Stadium, New Delhi.
👉 This platform will provide a fast and transparent mechanism to select talented players.
